Power Outage Notification
Sunday, August 10th
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Telkwa, Smithers, New Hazelton and Hazelton
as far west as Hwy 16 & Hwy 37 Junction at
Kitwanga

TO OUR CUSTOMERS:
On Sunday, August 10th, crews will be performing maintenance tasks on the high voltage
transmission lines serving the Bulkley Valley which will require the power to be turned off
to the communities of Telkwa, Smithers, New Hazelton, Hazelton and as far west as the
junction of Hwy 16 & Hwy 37 at Kitwanga. This outage will run from 8:00 a.m. to
approximately 4:00 p.m.

All impacted customers will be notified before the event via telephone auto-dialer, email, or
postcards.

Travelers passing through the outage zone need to be aware services such as fuel,
charging and food will not be available during the power outage.

We apologize for the inconvenience this outage may cause. However, we need to ensure
the safety of the public and the crews involved as we conduct this necessary maintenance
work.
