In 2019, the District of Port Edward and the Prince Rupert Port Authority proudly unveiled the newly refurbished Anne Neufeld Tot Park, revitalizing this cherished community space. The project was made possible through a collaborative effort between the district, the PRPA, N.S.K. Contracting Ltd., and the Prince Rupert Regional Community Foundation with a total investment of $150,000 to transform the 8,000-square-foot park.
The revamped park now features exciting new amenities, including a small rock climbing section, two slides, a cargo net ladder, and an expanded jungle gym, designed to provide endless fun and adventure for children. Despite these modern upgrades, the park retains a touch of its original charm with two familiar spring riders and the classic swing set, preserving a piece of nostalgia for long-time visitors. This project not only enhances the recreational opportunities for local families but also strengthens the sense of community in Port Edward.
