Grant in Aid Policy

The District of Port Edward offers Grants in Aid to financially assist community groups, organizations, and individuals involved in activities, events, and programs that benefit the community. This policy governs the evaluation and approval process for grant requests.

The District recognizes the importance of supporting initiatives that contribute to the well-being and development of the community. Grants in Aid are available for activities that meet the following criteria:

  • Provide a broad benefit to the Port Edward community
  • Contribute to the health, welfare, or general interest of the community
  • Assist in the celebration of events of public interest
  • Encourage volunteer participation and citizen involvement
  • Promote cultural, recreational, or social understanding

Applications will only be accepted from non-profit or **charitable organizations. To be considered, applicants must demonstrate a financial need for a specific project or program. Grants will not be provided solely for the purpose of building reserves.

The maximum grant available is $500.
