To conduct any blasting activities within the District of Port Edward you are required to apply for a Blasting Permit in accordance with Blasting Bylaw No. 315, 1993.

To apply, please submit the following information:

• Legal description/civic address of the location where blasting will take place
• Applicant's Workmen’s Compensation Board Certificate Number
• Applicant’s Insurer and Insurance Policy Number
• Attach copies of Blaster Certification and Insurance documents
• Fee: $5.00 per seven-day period

The permit holder is responsible for adhering to all conditions outlined in the bylaw, and liability for any loss, injury, or damage caused by blasting operations rests with the permit holder.
